Press releaseResearch, Innovation and Development Projects in Additive Manufacturing | Experts meet in an online meeting
A technical meeting dedicated to Additive Manufacturing (AM) to disseminate studies, research and the latest additive technologies, particularly in the biomedical sector but not only. The agenda includes a panel of speakers of the highest level for the sector.
The afternoon will be opened by the President and CEO of CSMT Polo Tecnologico, Riccardo Trichilo, followed by presentations from the world of biomedical research by Paola Ginestra and Rosalba Monica Ferraro from the University of Brescia and Keren Zohar-Hauber from the Technion, Haifa-Israel Institute of Metals. Both research centres are partners in Optimib, the research project financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation which, through the use of 3D printing techniques, aims to identify the optimal process parameters for the production of next-generation titanium alloy orthopaedic implants. During this project closing seminar we will see the results obtained in two years of work by the project partners.
In the second part of the seminar, a round table discussion will take place with leading organisations and companies in the field of additive manufacturing; speakers will include AM technology experts and market reference bodies such as:
Bianca Colosimo of the MADE Competence Center and Polimi lecturer, Elisabetta Ceretti of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering UNIBS, Cristian Fracassi - CEO ISINNOVA, Gabriele Ceselin - CEO of AQM, Stefano Linari - CEO Linari Nanotech, Marco Libretti - Director INNEXHUB and Giacomo Copani - Cluster Manager AFIL.The speakers, moderated by Paolo Folgarait of Seamthesis, will animate a debate on the current state of development of additive technologies, aimed at understanding potential future evolutions.
The event, open to all those interested in learning more about Additive Manufacturing and its technological applications, will be held on Wednesday 25 February at 3pm online. To receive the free access link, please register at www.csmt.it
