Summary
Triple-negative breast cancer is aggressive and lacks targeted therapies, and studying it properly requires culture systems where cells interact with an extracellular matrix rather than a flat plastic surface. This study screens electrospun polystyrene/polycaprolactone scaffolds for that role, systematically varying three things: the orientation of the electrospinning setup, the solvent, and the polymer composition. Treating the machine configuration itself as an experimental variable is unusual, and it shows how directly the setup governs the scaffold a tumour model needs.
