How does rotation speed affect fiber alignment?

At low speed the drum collects random fibers with uniform thickness; above a threshold linear surface speed, fibers align along the rotation direction. The hollow, balanced construction lets you reach alignment speeds without vibration.

Which diameter should I choose?

The 80 mm drum offers a larger collecting area and higher linear speed at equal rpm; the 30 mm version is ideal for small samples and tubular scaffolds such as vascular graft geometries.
