PTFE (Teflon) Tube – Solvent-Resistant, 4 mm OD
PTFE (Teflon) Tube – Solvent-Resistant, 4 mm OD
PTFE (Teflon) tube for electrospinning fluid lines — the choice when chemical resistance is non-negotiable.
FOR AGGRESSIVE SOLVENTS AND HEATED PROCESSES
PTFE is chemically inert with virtually all electrospinning solvents — including HFIP, DMF, TFA and chlorinated solvents that degrade PVC over time — and withstands heated processes without softening. You will receive a tube of the desired length that you can cut yourself; specify in the order notes if you prefer to receive it already cut.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Material: PTFE (Teflon)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When do I need PTFE instead of PVC tubing?
Whenever your solvent attacks PVC: fluorinated alcohols (HFIP, TFE), strong acids (TFA), DMF, DMAc and chlorinated solvents. If the solution stiffens or discolors your PVC tubing, switch to PTFE.
How do I connect it to syringes and needles?
Cut the tube to length and terminate both ends with PTFE Luer fittings (male toward the needle, female toward the syringe).
