PRECISE DEPOSITION WITH VERTICAL COLLECTORS

Compared to bevel tips, flat-tip needles allow more accurate control of the electric field, guaranteeing its absolute symmetry and reducing local tip ionization (corona effect) that can alter the solution at high voltage.

The special versions bent at 90° are designed in particular for the RT Advanced, where the needles are installed and shifted vertically. The vertical-rod configuration creates an absolutely symmetric electric field between the needle and a vertical rotary collector — for exceptionally precise, orderly nanofiber deposition. How is this different from the standard 90° bent needles?

This version is optimized for the vertical rod geometry, aligning the tip with a vertical rotary collector. For horizontal vertical-shift setups, see the standard 90° bent needles.

Why a flat tip?

A flat, polished tip keeps the electric field symmetric around the orifice and suppresses corona discharge — the condition for a stable jet and consistent fiber diameter.
