Coaxial Electrospinning Needles

Collection: Coaxial Electrospinning Needles

Coaxial needles for core-shell electrospinning

Coaxial needles let you spin two or more polymers simultaneously within the same fiber, producing nanofibers with an inner core and outer shell for drug delivery, tissue engineering, filtration and energy applications.

All Linari Nanotech coaxial needles are manufactured in Pisa, Italy, in AISI 316 stainless steel, operate up to 120 °C and resist the most corrosive solvents. They connect through standard Luer Lock and Luer-UNF fittings, so they are compatible with all electrospinning systems — Linari or third-party. All products ship worldwide from Italy.

Choose your coaxial system

Ready to start — sealed needles. The Sealed Coaxial Needle Kit is the most cost-effective entry point: laser-welded needle, dielectric support and fittings in one complete set. Need just the needle? Buy the single sealed coaxial needle (2 or 3 layers, G21/G15/G11) or save up to 9% with the 3-pack, ideal for parallel arrays and spares.

Maximum flexibility — the modular system. The Modular Coaxial Needle Kit offers interchangeable tips and full disassembly for cleaning; bases and tips (gauge 11, 15 and 21, three lengths) are also available individually, so you can change diameters or upgrade from 2 to 3 layers at any time.

Accessories and spares. The dielectric needle support positions needles safely inside the chamber, the NBR O-ring sealing kit keeps modular needles leak-free, and the Luer-UNF fitting connects your fluid lines.

Frequently asked questions

Sealed or modular: which should I buy?

Choose sealed needles if you want the lowest cost, a compact format and parallel multi-needle arrays with fixed geometry. Choose the modular system if you need to change tip diameters between experiments, clean internal surfaces thoroughly or grow from 2 to 3 layers over time.

What can I make with core-shell nanofibers?

Typical applications include controlled drug release (active core, protective shell), tissue engineering scaffolds combining mechanical strength and biocompatibility, encapsulation of sensitive compounds, and self-healing or functional composite fibers.

Do coaxial needles work with my existing electrospinning system?

Yes — any system with one syringe pump per layer (two pumps for core-shell, three for triaxial) and a high-voltage supply. Connections are standard Luer Lock / Luer-UNF.

What else do I need besides the needle?

Syringes, tubing and fittings — you will find glass syringes, PVC and PTFE tubing in our consumables collection. If you are configuring a full setup, see our electrospinning machines.
